Textbook and Publication Errata
Lexi-Comp monographs for Ibritumomab
in the Drug Information Handbook 12th Edition, (February 2004)
and Drug Information Handbook for Oncology 4th Edition, (June
2004) contain dosing error
Under the section on dosing, there is a typographical error
in which a decimal was omitted. In addition, the unit specification
is also incomplete. The section previously read (error is
in bold):
Platelet count >150,000 cells/mm3: Inject 4 mCi (14.8 MBq/kg
actual body weight) over 10 minutes Platelet count between
100,000-149,000 cells/mm3: Inject 3 mCi (11.1 MBq/kg actual
body weight) over 10 minutes.........
It has been corrected/changed to:
Platelet count >150,000 cells/mm3: Inject 0.4 mCi/kg (14.8
MBq/kg actual body weight) over 10 minutes Platelet count
between 100,000-149,000 cells/mm3:
Inject 0.3 mCi/kg (11.1 MBq/kg actual body weight) over 10
minutes.........
