Textbook and Publication Errata

Two dosing errors occur on page 1325 of Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine, Volume I, Edition 15.

The first error involves losartan in the Angiotensin Receptor Blockers section. On the first and second lines of page 1325 is the statement "(e.g., losartan 50 mg qid)." The correct dose of losartan should be 50 mg once daily. The second error is mid-way down the first column on page 1325 in the B-adrenoceptor blockers section. In reference to metoprolol CR/XL the statement "increasing over 4 weeks to a target dose of 200 mg qid" is incorrect. The correct dose should state, "increasing over 4 weeks to a target dose of 200 mg once daily." In both cases the errata could lead to overdoses of these medications leading to serious adverse events.
