ISMP Quarterly Action
Agenda - October-December 2005
From the January 26, 2006 issue
The ISMP Quarterly Action Agenda appears in January, April, July, and October
each year to summarize important topics published in this newsletter during the
previous 3 months. Many healthcare organizations bring this information to
patient- or medication-safety committees to assure that potentially harmful
conditions are not present or are being addressed proactively. Starting with
this issue, the Quarterly Action Agenda will now present the topics in a "to do" list format, summarizing each problem, highlighting ISMP recommendations, and providing space for the organization to assess the situation, document needed actions, assign tasks, and track completion dates. The ISMP Quarterly Action Agenda is now
approved for Continuing Pharmaceutical Education by
the Pennsylvania Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
Each Action Agenda will be approved for one contact
hour of continuing education (0.1 CEU).
Learning objectives and instructions for applying for
CE are available at the PSHP CE Center.
