10th Anniversary ismp medication safety alert! acute care edition cd rom

For more than 10 years, the ISMP Medication Safety Alert! Acute Care Edition has provided healthcare practitioners with potentially life-saving information on medication and device-related errors. Now you can put ISMP’s practical error prevention strategies to work in your own practice by ordering the newsletter’s 10th anniversary reference CD ROM.

The first issue of ISMP Medication Safety Alert! was sent out on January 15, 1996 by fax to around 30 hospitals; today the newsletter is a biweekly e-mailed alert system that reaches virtually every hospital in the U.S. with a readership of more than 650,000. The newsletter includes up to the minute alerts about errors reported to ISMP, urgent advisories about information that require immediate attention, and a quarterly action agenda with opportunities to earn continuing education credits.

The anniversary reference CD contains all back issues through the end of 2005, including all original text, charts, images, and pertinent links to additional material on ISMP’s website. It provides a comprehensive database that is searchable by keyword, so users can research safety issues quickly and easily. The CD also allows text to be bookmarked, highlighted, and annotated for future reference.
