Alexander Shilman PharmD, BCPS, FISMP

Lieutenant Colonel Alexander S. Shilman, PharmD, BCPS, FISMP is the US Army MEDCOM Medication safety Officer and a Deputy Director of the Virtual Inspection and LINKUP (VITAL-T) program. He has earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Toledo, has completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and a fellowship with the Institute for Safe Medication Practices. During his 16-year career in the Army, he has served as the director of Supply, Inpatient, and Outpatient pharmacies and as a director of Pharmacy Branch at the Army Medical Department Center and School, where he developed and taught military and college courses for medical providers. Currently he serves as the Medication Safety expert for the US Army MEDCOM.
